Divestiture Doc Prep
Divestiture Doc Prep is a pre-sale service for Sellers that involves the preparation of the outgoing conveyance(s) for an asset divestiture based upon examination of the provided vesting source document(s) of record title into the Seller. This service ensures that the conveyances accurately reflect the Seller’s vested interest and conforms to recording standards for the applicable jurisdiction in which they are filed of record.
Divestiture Doc Prep (DDP) is priced at $300 for each standard document preparation and $400 for each nonstandard document preparation, covering documents up to three pages in length in either category. Nonstandard documents include state and federal conveyances, as well as other specialized filings that require enhanced formatting, supplementary procedures, or jurisdiction-specific compliance. An additional charge of $50 will apply for each page beyond the three-page limit. If no source document is provided by Seller, Paladin may be engaged for the diligence effort to locate and obtain the necessary source documents for an additional charge of $81.25 per hour, plus ancillary costs of procurement (travel expenses, abstract and courthouse fees, etc.). DDP is provided as a ministerial service only, and no legal representation or warranty is made regarding the sufficiency or legal effect of the produced documents.
